PreAct Software consists of reusable, object-oriented components for building intelligent associate systems. The functions of the libraries have been “teased apart” into 10 different modules, consisting of ObjectMatch, Concept Graph, Situated Scripts, Plan-Goal Graph, Situation Assessment, Activity Performer, Intent Interpreter, Activity Planner, Information Manager, & error Analyzer. The Plan-goal graph, script, & Concept graph libraries provide structures to hold knowledge & operations that can be performed on these structures. Activity planning, intent interpretation, activity performer, & situation assessment processes act on the knowledge structures, while the information management & error analysis act on the results of the other processes. These processes combined with communication processes constitute distributed associate system architecture.

Integrated Knowledge Environment (IKE) Tool Suite
IKE provides a tool for knowledge design & development. It is used to convert text descriptions into executable PreAct knowledge bases & provides knowledge editing & graphical representations of knowledge.
